The History

The idea of founding a mental therapy centre dedicated to people living with mental health problems was the first step in the birth of Change Life Victoria.

Thanks to the dedicated work of our accredited mental health social worker, Johny C Mattam and registered nurse Mini Johny, hundreds of people in vulnerable situations have been helped towards recovery.

From two dedicated professionals at the outset, the organization now has over 10 multidisciplinary workers, all equally dedicated to the mission of supporting and guiding people to achieving excellent mental health.

At Change Life, we provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our Vision

Through mental health therapy service, the qualified personnel at Change Life will accompany you to achieve excellent mental health. Psycho Education & Counselling constitute the heart of our approach. They are intended for anyone whose mental health is threatened. We will assist you to device the most effective ways to cope with your challenges until you attain excellent mental health.

Change Life will provide you with constant support and special tools that will help you, little by little, reduce your suffering and your feeling of incapacity while regaining your self-confidence.

  • How long does a session go for?

    A standard session usually goes for 50 minutes to 1 hour.

  • How much does it cost per session?

    We charge different rates depending on your circumstances and conditions. Please call us on 0421 111 739 for further information.

  • What information will I be asked to disclose?

    Initially when you call and make an appointment you will only be asked for your full name and a phone number.


    When you attend for an appointment to see a practitioner, you will be asked for some additional information such as your Medicare card number, Private Health Fund card, personal information and referring doctor. This information is only used for administrative purposes and will not be published or forwarded to other individuals or organisations.


  • Can I bring a friend/support person along to my first interview?

    Seeing a practitioner for the first time can be a daunting experience. If you feel more comfortable bringing a friend along or a support person, you can. However, be sure that you can trust this person with your personal information.

  • What all types of service delivery you offer?

    In house consultation, Outreach service delivery and telephonic/Zoom consultation.

  • Are services available to students from overseas?

    Yes. Your OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover) Policy will cover your therapy cost.

  • Are motor accident victims supported?

    Yes. TAC (Transport Accident Claims) will cover the cost for your support.
